For the past eight years, I’ve immersed myself in the world of front-end development, watching websites come to life through code. It’s been a rewarding journey, and I’m really proud of the projects I’ve completed and the skills I’ve picked up along the way. But honestly, I’ve always felt a pull toward something different—a desire to express my creativity in a more visual and artistic way.
After much consideration, I’ve decided to embrace my passion for design. The thought of creating not just functional interfaces but also beautiful experiences is super exciting. I want to create spaces that resonate with users, where every color, font, and layout decision evokes emotion and grabs attention.
Transitioning from front-end development to design feels like the next natural step for me. My understanding of code will inform my design choices, ensuring that my designs are not only stunning but also doable. I’m diving headfirst into learning design principles, and experimenting with color palettes, typography, and user flows. It’s a thrilling challenge that I’m ready to tackle.
I know this path won’t come without its hurdles, but I’m ready to take on each lesson as it comes. I imagine a future where I blend development and design seamlessly, creating immersive experiences that leave a lasting impact. I’m ready to forge my own path in this exciting new chapter of my career.
When I'm not designing and thinking about my career, I'm taking care of my two cats, spending time with friends, and decorating my apartment. I have a tiny 14-year-old sphynx named Anubis (in the picture above) and a big 13-year-old fluffy black cat named Onyx. They are my children, if you like cats, I'm happy to talk about them all day. Most of my time is spent at home with my boyfriend of 11 years, talking and watching TV. But we also like to have friends over, share a meal and drinks with them, or all go to a fun local event happening. When I have some time to myself, I usually decorate or think of new ways to rearrange my apartment. I love collecting art prints and vintage stuff and creating a cozy, welcoming environment.
